Where is my data stored?

Your media library, playback history, browsing data, downloads, and private vault are stored only in local app storage on your device. GoPlayer has no account and no cloud sync, and we have no server that receives this data.

How do I delete my data?

Clear browsing data from the browser, delete private vault data from its settings, remove media files in the app or through cleanup and the recycle bin, or clear GoPlayer's storage (or uninstall it) from Android Settings. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.

I forgot my private vault PIN. Can I recover it?

No. The private vault, and the recovery email you may have entered when creating it, are stored only on your device and cannot currently be used to recover a forgotten PIN. If you forget it, the files inside may not be recoverable.

How do I manage ads and consent?

Open Privacy options in the Me tab to reopen the consent form and change or withdraw your ad-related choices at any time, where required by your region.

Does GoPlayer need internet?

Not to play files already on your device. An internet connection is used for the browser, downloads, BT downloads, casting, file transfer setup, ads, and the consent flow.

What should I include in a bug report?

Please include your device model, Android version, GoPlayer version, and the exact steps that led to the problem. You can optionally attach a screenshot and diagnostic information from the in-app feedback form; do not send passwords or account details, since GoPlayer does not use accounts.

How do I set a ringtone?

Choose an audio file and confirm setting it as your system ringtone. GoPlayer changes the system ringtone setting only after you confirm, and this requires the "modify system settings" permission, which you can enable in Android Settings.
